How online classes work
Every course is taught in live online classes: the student and the teacher meet at a set time, and the teacher listens, explains and corrects as the lesson goes on. Here is how to start, and how to choose between one-on-one and group classes.
From application to the first class
1
Choose a course
Browse the course catalogue or search it by name. If you are unsure which course fits, ask us.
2
Apply online
The admission form asks for the course, the student’s details, the class type you prefer and the times that suit you.
3
Confirm the timetable
The admissions office contacts you by phone, WhatsApp or email to confirm the class type, days and times.
4
Attend live classes
At the agreed time the student joins the class online, with the teacher, from home.
One-on-one or group classes
Both are live classes with a teacher; the difference is who else is in the class. You choose on the admission form, or tick “Not sure yet” and we will advise.
One-on-one
انفرادی کلاس
- In the class
- Only the student and the teacher.
- How it works
- The lesson follows the student’s own pace: the teacher hears every word the student reads and corrects it straight away.
- Suits students who
- are beginning to read, are memorising, or need close attention to pronunciation.
- Why choose it
- The teacher’s full attention in every lesson.
Group
گروپ کلاس
- In the class
- The teacher and a group of students of the same course.
- How it works
- The teacher leads the lesson for the group; students read, ask and answer in turn.
- Suits students who
- enjoy learning with others and benefit from hearing their classmates’ questions.
- Why choose it
- Learning in the company of fellow students.
What the student needs
- A phone, tablet or computer.
- A stable internet connection.
- A quiet place to sit for the length of the class.
- Headphones help the student hear pronunciation clearly.
Class times and time zones
Classes are online, so students can join from any country. When you apply, write the days and times that suit you in your own local time; the form also records your time zone from your device.
The admissions office then confirms the class times with you.
Common questions
Something else you would like to know? Send us a message.
Are the classes live?
Yes. Every class is taught live online by a teacher, either one-on-one or in a group.
Which course should I start with?
It depends on what the student can already do. Someone who cannot yet read the Arabic letters starts with Noorani Qaida. A student who can read the letters moves on to Nazra Quran, and from there to Tajweed or Hifz. If you are unsure, choose “Not sure yet” on the admission form and we will advise.
How long is the Dars-e-Nizami course?
The complete Dars-e-Nizami course takes four years.
How long are the Funoon short courses?
Each Funoon course runs for one to two months and covers a single subject, such as Nahw, Usool-e-Fiqh or Seerat.
Can I study one subject without joining Dars-e-Nizami?
Yes. Each of the twelve Funoon subjects is a separate short course that you can apply for on its own.
How do I apply?
Fill in the admission form. It takes a few minutes. The admissions office will then contact you to confirm the class type and timetable.
Can I ask a question before applying?
Of course. Use the contact form, or the “Ask a question first” button on any course page.
