About this course
Tajweed is the discipline of reciting the Holy Quran as it was revealed: giving every letter its right, from its correct point of articulation and with its correct qualities.
Students learn each rule and then apply it in their own recitation.
What students study
- Points of articulation (makharij) of the letters
- Qualities of the letters (sifaat)
- Rules of noon sakin and tanween
- Rules of meem sakin
- Madd: the lengthening of vowels
- Stopping and starting (waqf and ibtida)
Before you start
- Able to read the Quran from the text.
How the classes are taught
One-on-one
A live online class with just the student and the teacher. The lesson moves at the student’s own pace.
Group
A live online class that the student attends together with other students of the same course.
